Mike Prestwood | Who's Online Back!!!{Too Long} Andy.B | Awesome mike, good job. I noticed you also added secure login. That is great too. I never liked signing in with clear text even though I had a Prestwood-only password. |

ASPGuy | Old Threads Looking Better TooOkay thanks. I know we have some good posts in the moderator topic today but I wanted say out here on the public side that I really like the new thread look. I think the new features you added are great too but the new look seems simpler in design and therefore easier to read. I took a look at some of the old threads and they are much better. |

Mike Prestwood | What type of analysis do you use?I'm curious about what type of analysis others are using. Do you write up your requirements in a Word document? Do you use UML? Some tool? Do you write up requirements at all? Andy.B | Boy Mike, that is a big question. How much detail do you want? The short answer is that I write up what my client wants and have them review it. Sometimes my write up is just an email for something small and easy. Sometimes I create a formal Word document. I rarely do diagrams but when appropriate, I do. |

Mike Prestwood | New menuYesterday I deployed a new menu. The new menu has expanded options on the Community menu and I consolidated all the service and support menus into one I.T. Services menu. I think this strikes a better balance between business website and community website.
What do you think? Also, any suggestions on changes? Andy.B | I like it. i thought the old one stressed Prestwood's business too much. This one is more balanced. |

ASPGuy | RE: Silverlight = DLR + WPFeInteresting. I haven't gotten into Silverlight development yet but I thought it was just another competitor to Flash. Isn't it? It's a browser plug in that allows you to do graphical stuff on any browser that supports plugins, right?
Are there any features you've looked into that require IE? In other words, will everything you are doing run on Safari on the Mac? |

Mike Prestwood | No more verify email required. In an effort to make using the Prestwood Programmer Community easier, we've relaxed some of the obsticles. You no longer need to verify your email address prior to replying to a message board thread nor when creating a knowledge base post. You still have to verify your email if you wish to receive our monthly eMag. Andy.B | I like it Mike. Good change! I don't know about psantoro's suggestions though. I think it would invite too many flaming posts. |
