I have done some basic coding already and was very interested in learning JavaScript as well. I have Dreamweaver 4, Fireworks 4, Paintshop Pro 7 with animation shop and Flash 5. The only thing is trying to find the time to figure out what is best for certain web designing issues.
I want to make an awesome site and I really need some ideas on how about to create one. The other thing that I really would like to know about is what is the technical term for the search bar at the top of the site called? Like the one here at Old UBB Archived Link: www.macromedia.com,
Old UBB Archived Link: www.microsoft.com and like the one at Old UBB Archived Link: www.cnet.com. What all is used to create this field?
I know it sounds like a stupid question but, most search bars are smaller and are limited to just certain text links and so forth. These bigger ones at the top of the page at most bigger company sites is really bugging me on how to create. Please help, I would really like to know.
I was going to create an image in Photoshop then add the text to the certain location, but it's just adding the rest that's mind boggling. lol. Well, I could really use your insight or ideas on this please. Thank you for your time.

Once above is taken care of, full Profile content will display including back links, about me, my message, custom Profile html,
social networking links, message board signature, company profile, etc.
The search box is just a search box. Each tool calls it something different. As for learning how to create great web sites, you learn by doing. So dive in and start creating the best web site you can. Read alot. Visit alot of sites and figure out how to duplicate the features you like.
