The Question: What do you wear to a Halloween/Hot October Nights themed Chamber of Commerce Party?

Nicole stepped forward and volunteered to use her skills to create zombies out of us

The Answer: Zombie makeup!!... specifically I.T. Zombie makeup!

Knowing that the folks at Armor Mini Storage were going to go all out for the Citrus Heights Chamber Party we spent a little bit of time trying to decide what to do get into the mood.  Fortunately the versatile Nicole stepped forward and volunteered to use her skills to create zombies out of us.

After double checking that she did mean by using makeup I bravely volunteered to attend the party as did Ritchie and Nicole herself.  Mike was kind enough to foot the bill for purchasing the necessary makeup for us all to get started and then the ideas were overflowing.  Unfortunately, ideas of keyboards being embedded in skulls had to be abandoned due to time constraints (maybe next year!) but we did manage to have a few nasty looking embedded keyboard keys.

Sadly, Nicole was unwell on the day but was a trooper and came in specifically to do the makeup for us.  As a substitute little Amara, was painted up.  Once she was in Zombie form she then kept us all entertained while Ritchie and I had our makeup put on by trying to creep up on Mike and scare him.

The Party itself was fantastic.  Some beautifully restored cars (Sorry, I can admire but could describe by any justice), lots of great props and decorations and really good food.  All the suits of Armor at Armor Mini Storage had little blow up musical instruments in their arms which Amara though was really cool.  She also enjoyed the old fashioned pinball machine though she had Ritchie and I press the buttons for her since it was a little wide.

We had to leave early, but Ritchie, Amara and I all had a great time.  Hopefully next year we'll get to be even more creative with out costumes!
