Regression Testing

Retesting previously fixed defects or rerunning test scripts that previously passed.

Retesting previously fixed defects or rerunning test scripts that previously passed. Regression tests are performed on a previously verified program whenever it is extended or corrected. In other words, you test all the defects that were fixed or you re-run a set of test scripts. This step guarantees that previously identified defects do not reappear in the program.
